Terraced gardens beneath Hakgala Rock reflect the distinctive cooler climate of the highlands. Plan a separate garden visit on the Badulla road, with a layer for changing weather.
Horton Plains — separate excursion
Montane grassland and cloud forest create a highland landscape unlike the coast or dry-zone parks. Allow for an early road transfer, entry arrangements and suitable walking conditions. This is not an extra town stop.
